Trolley Through The Town Thursday

We started the day just relaxing, washing some clothes, doing some research, and hanging out at the house.  Ran to the grocery store for a few items and home depot then back home for some lunch.  Wasn't sure when Geoff would be home, but shortly after lunch he called and was on his way home.  We waited for him, so he could go trolleying with us!
We got in the car and went to a parking lot where we could catch the trolley to take us downtown, so we could get to the baseball game!  Dad had researched this trolley thing all day, so he thought he could figure this out!  We bought a compass pass for 2$ and an all day pass for 5$ and we were set.  After you bump the card on the kiosk you were ready to go.  We still can't figure out how they know if you payed or not, but we made sure we bumped our card anyway.  I really want to try to just get on one day just to see what happens!!  I for sure thought dad would have, but he didn't (mom wouldn't let him).
We took the trolley downtown as close to the game as we could get and headed to find tickets.  The line was super long.  I got in line and the rest of them tried to figure out the kiosk to buy the tickets.  I didn't think they could figure it out so I stayed in line!!  There were people scalping tickets everywhere.  They would come ask if you need tickets... I was a little nervous, but I guess why not.  Dad didn't get the kiosk thing and came back in line and a scalper found him.  We got 52$ tickets for 20$.  I still think it was a scam some how but what do I know.  He had a wad of cash in his pocket, so I know he had to make something off these deals!
When we found our seats, they were actually really good seats!  It was a nice afternoon for baseball.  Chilling in the stands drinking beer what can be better!  And the Padres won!!
After the game, we found the trolley back and took it to Little Italy to grab some food.  Geoff had been to this place with his dad and said it was really good, so we decided to check it out.  It was packed the line was out the door.  We didn't know if we should wait or go somewhere else, but we finally decided to wait.  Wait was not long, and well worth it!!  Great food, beer, and wine!  We got a carafe of wine.  They give you these cute little glasses to drink the wine out of; and I really wanted one!!  I asked the lady if I could have the carafe, and she brought me a bag for it, so I added a glass with it in the bag!  Got my glass; don't think mom was happy!!  :)
After dinner, we caught the trolley back to a station where we then had to wait and get on another trolley to get back to the car.  Not sure if we saved any time or money riding the trolley, but it was fun!  There were some really interesting people on these things!  One guy asked me for my phone; I'm like dad talk to this man please!!  Of course, my dad can't hear him, but finally got the number and my dad called his ride for him.  He was an interesting character!!  I was like hell no I'm not giving you my phone!!  I wouldn't think to just make the call for him, but now I know!! :)
Finally made it home.  Poor Geoff had a test the next day, so needed to study just a bit before bed.  Good news he passed the test and got home early to start Friday with us!  That's all for Trolley Thursday... See what happens today!!!
