We Made It!

     Traveling with the Clampett's!!! I originally thought this might be a fun post, but now that I think about it, I better just say we made it!  The morning started out by waking up early and packing up the car, which I had a plan for, but apparently my parents had a different plan!  We got everything in the car and we were off.  We headed to San Antonio to drop my parent's car off.  Geoff had a bet that we couldn't make it to San Antonio without an argument and we didn't (cause we were not in the same car)!  It was funny...I guess it was my fault (because everything always is), but we made it out of there without the sandwiches mom had made for lunch!  You know they gotta be prepared in case there isn't some place to eat!  With a minimum amount of arguing and fighting about some of the weirdest things you can possibly think about, we finally made it to Las Cruces!  I will give a couple examples just to show you how crazy it can be; "you're not parking in the right spot," mind you that is the spot I was going to but sure, throw your two cents in, or "you're not sleeping there you HAVE to sleep over there!"  Come on a bed is a bed.  OK, I won't get into this because I am sure my mom will hear this! :)  We ate at La Posta and had a wonderful New Mexican meal there.  The downtown area was really nice to walk around afterwards and check everything out.
     Woke up the next morning early and ready for the next half of the drive.  We got ready by 6 and went down to the hotel breakfast just to find out they don't open til 7!  I'm like, lady I have a long drive to California, please get me some milk and coffee and I'm set!  She very nicely got out the breakfast so we could be on our way!!
     Anyway, eventually we made it across Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona into California!  Driving into the mountains was pretty crazy!  I sure was nervous, but it was fun going up and down the mountains!!
